What is Xocial?

We are a team of dedicated people who want to use technology to make a positive difference in the world.

Our theory is two fold:

  1. If we can make positive social impact fun - even competitive - we can motivate people to take action towards real change. Action is the key component here which we identify with the letter X.

  2. If we can measure positive social impact - simply and in real-time - we can provide the data required to identify opportunities for improvement until we reach our goals. Opportunity is the key component here which we identify with the letter O.

These two components work together by:

  1. The gaming mechanics of our social impact campaign builder provide XP (aka social points) which are awarded for the completion of challenges, based on their impact, effort and time to complete.

  2. The machine learning and patented algorithms that analyze the data compiled (through campaign users, engagement / sentiment surveys, and key industry standards), provides accurate and real-time reporting of the social impact you are having.

Together, the final equation is:

How does Xocial work?

Participants using the Xocial app, complete challenges that measure impact, effort, time, and money in support of the UN Sustainable Goals or any specific goal that aligns with your internal social impact initiatives. Completing challenges earn XP (social points). XP (and a LOT of special attributes attached to each challenge) feed into an algorithm that creates an XO score.

Using our Social Impact Calculator, data is collected from key social impact categories to provide real-time impact reports that can be customized by team, location or defined parameters. You can then use the data provided to compare how you are doing to others in your industry or throughout the world.

 

Can Xocial be used to track volunteer hours?

Yes! Volunteering can be tracked in the Xocial app and hours converted to an XO score. Better yet, there are different ways to configure the volunteering challenge, like requiring validation from the charity before the XP is applied to an XO Score.

 

Can Xocial be used to make donations?

Yes! The Xocial app is integrated with the biggest donation processors. So a donation challenge in Xocial takes payments directly, passes to the donation processing partner, generates the XP value, and updates the XO Score instantly.

 

What the heck is Pay Per Action?

We LOVE the Pay Per Action (PPA) concept with the Xocial app. The idea is that a company, brand, or sponsor can assign a donation value based on the positive impact gameplay.

Some examples:

  • For each challenge submitted $10 will be donated to our charity of choice, or to the charity chosen by the winner

  • For each XP earned on submitted challenges $1 will go to this cause

  • For each achievement earned in our impact campaign brand X will donate $5 to a cause (Note that with Xocial you can have custom achievements, or badges, for completing a certain number or type of challenges)

 

Can Xocial be used to measure UN Sustainability Goals?

Sure can! Each Xocial impact challenge can be assigned one or many of hundreds of attributes, including all the UN Sustainability goals.
